What is on the certificate?
This is the real template with sample data. Every certificate shows:
- your name as you entered it at the end of the test,
- your level with its CEFR name, for example „B2 · Upper intermediate“,
- the date of issue and, at the top right, the certificate ID,
- a QR code at the bottom right that leads to the verification page.
A line at the bottom states that it is the result of an online placement test and does not replace an official language exam. You can download it as a PDF in German and English.
Price and packages
You pay once after the test, by card via Stripe. The certificate package costs €14.99, with the report €19.99. One year of online verification is included. If you like, you can add one more year for €3.99 or choose no end date for €6.99. You can also extend later in your account.

How others check that it is genuine
Anyone who receives your certificate scans the QR code or enters the ID on Verify a certificate. The page shows name, level and date of issue. If a certificate has been revoked or its online verification has expired, the page says so and shows no personal details.
Withdrawal and refunds
Your result and certificate are digital content provided straight after payment. Before paying, you agree that your right of withdrawal ends with that. If something goes wrong technically, write to us. The details are in the terms and the withdrawal policy.
How you get the certificate
- Take the placement test: 50 questions from A1 to C2, at most 60 minutes, no account needed.
- Check the name that should appear on the certificate. The evaluation takes a few seconds.
- Choose a package, from €14.99, and pay by card. Your level and the certificate are unlocked immediately.
- Download the PDF. You also receive an email with the links to the certificate, the PDF and the verification page.
The certificate is in the language in which you took the test, German or English. Your level is calculated from the share of correct answers across the whole test, so the certificate states one clear level rather than a range.
Certificate by level
What each level means, with examples and the matching official exams, is explained on the level pages: German A1 · German A2 · German B1 · German B2 · German C1 · German C2. Employers often ask for B1 or B2, universities usually for C1. For a visa, naturalisation or university admission you need an official exam.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use the certificate for my visa or citizenship application?
No. Authorities require an exam from an independent testing body, for example Goethe-Institut, telc or ÖSD. Our certificate documents a placement result.
How long can others verify my certificate?
You keep the PDF without limit. The verification page confirms the certificate for one year or indefinitely, depending on the option you choose. You can extend it later in your account.
What if my name is spelled wrong on the certificate?
The name comes from your details at the end of the test. Write to us using the contact form with the certificate ID and we will check it.
Does the certificate show my score?
No. It shows your level, its name, the date and the ID. Your scores per level and skill are in the report, which only you see.
Can I get my money back?
Your result and certificate are provided straight after payment. You agree beforehand that your right of withdrawal ends with that. For technical problems, write to us; after a refund the certificate is no longer valid.
